Volvo XC60 TyresMy name is `Rashid` and my company is `East London Tyres`. We are a mobile tyre service.Generally when a customer calls us it's because they need a tyre or tyres fitted urgently at their location.There could be any number of reasons for this, but hitting a kerb or a solid or sharp object is most often then not the culprit.In built up areas of inner London roads have become narrower with the introduction of cycle lanes, kerbs have also become higher and sharper.The roads are more congested with cars, vans, buses, cycles and scooters.If you take your eyes off the road for a few seconds or are distracted by your phone then this could cause a tyre collision.I received a call from a customer in the EC1Y area, they needed 2 Volvo XC60 tyres fitted after hitting a bollard.We asked for the tyre details which were 255/45/20. We gave the customer the quickest available option and an estimated arrival time.

I called the customer just before arriving as sometimes the address given is not always where the vehicle is, and on this occasion the car was parked at a car park so we arrived there and were met by the customer.After removing the wheels and taking off the damaged tyres i changed the valves, some cars will have a TPMS system but with the standard rubber valves, this was one such vehicle.Once the tyres had been mounted back onto the wheel i inflated it to the correct pressure and then checked the `wheel balancing` The wheels were fitted back onto the car and the wheel nuts were tightened with a torque wrench.
